The action-packed 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic is drawing to a close. Beijing, the “double Olympic” city, has displayed its elegance to the world on a stage of ice and snow. It was a victory for all the people of the world who loves peace and pursues cooperation and collective progress. During the Beijing Winter Olympics, faculties and students from the Belt and Road Institute spoke out in media across the world, demonstrating the vision of “creating a better future together” to the whole globe.

Professor at the Belt and Road Institute and former Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz republic Djoomart Otorbaev said in an interview with CGTN that grave circumstances during the pandemic have brought novel challenges to the Winter Olympics. Nevertheless, China was devoted in creating an unprecedented and brilliant Olympics event, displaying to the world its ever-growing strength and potential. As the Beijing Winter Olympics steadily presses ahead, the impressiveness of the events is never before seen.

  • Library
    The library faces the spacious Centennial Square, surrounded from all sides by lush mountains and clear waters. It has 3,500 seats and is open 98 hours a week. The library contains a collection of over 1.6 million paper-back books from around the world, over 2,000 categories of newspapers and periodicals, over 300 Chinese and foreign databases, over 110,000 journals and more than 8 million e-books from around the world. All computers and multi-media equipment within the facility are open to readers free of charge.
  • Athletic Field
    The track and field not only serve as an excellent outdoor exercise location, but is also a comprehensive venue for large-scale sports events, music festivals and more.
  • Dining Hall
    The dining hall is a dining location highly recommended by students. The dining hall strictly adheres to pandemic prevention guidelines, creating a safe and comfortable dining environment. The dining hall provides teachers and students with diverse, nutritionally balanced, and reasonably priced meal options.
