To better convey China's voice, tell China's stories well, and spread China's positive energy, our institution organizes two field research trips for students each year—one to underdeveloped regions and the other to developed regions of China—when permitted by COVID-19 prevention and control policies.
Through participation in these field research activities, students will investigate the actual development situations of local governments, enterprises, banks, and rural areas. They will then summarize the experiences and lessons learned, conduct comparative analysis by connecting with the realities of their home countries, and compile a research report.
The quality score of this research report will be included in the assessment results of the course Survey of China's Economy and Society, which is worth 2 academic credits.
It is anchored in an academic course, steered by the local government, operationally coordinated by enterprises, and academically supervised by the Belt and Road School, which deploys both faculty and academic-affairs teams to design and manage the investigation; a media team accompanies the group for publicity and interviews.
Integrating three core activities—seminars and exchanges with local governments, field visits to poverty alleviation efforts in underdeveloped areas (or visits to key enterprises in economically developed areas), and experiences of local characteristic folk cultures—teachers will deliver interspersed lectures on China’s economic development and assign after-class assignments.
Media organizations are invited to accompany all previous surveys of Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in developing countries. Up to now, we have maintained sound and in-depth cooperative relationships with 20 media organizations, including Beijing Review, ChinaAfrica, ChinaFrique, China Today, China Hoy, La Chine Au Present, China Today, China Report ASEAN, Digital Media Center, China Pictorial, China-India Dialogue, China Youth Daily, China Daily, Economic Information Daily, The Paper, China Internet Information Center(CIIC), Guangming Net, China News Service (CNS) and Xinhua News Agency.>
