Studying in Beijing Normal University (BNU), EMI in particular makes my experience so unique with a blend of unique cultural diversity. Even though the Chinese language was a little bit difficult tolearn but the rewardsin studyingin China are so abundant. Itis not only academically
and culturally fulfilling to study in BNU/EMI but it fosters personal growth as I mentioned earlier.
Many years ago,it was my dream to studyin UK or US for a higher-level degreebut after studying
in BNU/EMI, I realized that I did not only hugely enjoyed my experience but I am also open and
very much willing to work and live in China. I learned in every moment of my stay. This experience allowed me to grow academically by improving my knowledge in many curriculum disciplines such as Principles of Management, development economics International trade and investment, Business statistics, research methods Managerial economics, the politics of China, development finance etc., these lectures were well delivered by top-notched professors/Doctors. Professionally back home my career path have improved tremendously in my job role. I am able to apply key learnings on my work plan. Socially I made new friends and I was able to understand some few Chinese sentences, culture and heritages. I tried to learn some basic phrases but I could not pronounce them correctly always. Pronunciation was difficult for me but my teacher appreciated my efforts to speak the language.
The MBA Program has moved me to higher heights in my career path and it enhanced my capacity to further serve my country diligently. With the MBA, I can now boast of the ability to apply economic management theories and economic research methods, management principles. The program has deepen my understandings of the models of economic development and the practices of economic policy in both Chinese context and international economic system, especially in emerging market countries within the Belt and Road. The content course itself is quiet interesting and beneficial. The knowledge I acquired both inside and outside classroom have broaden my horizon on international development, research and management.
It was crucial for me to improve my academic and professional path; therefore, I decided to expose myself to international experience to enhance my knowledge and build my capacity and further contribute to national development. I chooses BNU/EMI because it is a vibrant University with a geographical advantage and an educational gem in China. Indeed, it has been very much beneficial to my career path. I was given the opportunity to meet with great leaders such as former Japanese and polish prime ministers from whom I learned leadership, visit important places such as the Hyundai car factory, Zara, Kunshan industrial area, Zhangjiakou/Chongoli winter Olympic Park among many interesting memories during my time the BNU/EMI
