Emerging Markets Institute (EMI) is a research based institute inside Beijing Normal University. I was a first batch student of the institute. Now I am feeling proud to be a part of the alumni of the Institute. In my opinion EMI is a platform for producing and sharing knowledge regarding the global developmental affairs. While studying in EMI, I was little bit confusing about how to use the knowledge of EMI to my profession. But now I am working on the public financial management training center as a trainer to public officials. In my position, I need knowledge about finance, economics and management. I was well trained about those branches of knowledge by EMI. It is helping to develop my personality and performance. The package of knowledge provided by EMI is a real, implacable and future oriented. I sincerely give thanks to EMI for teaching me best practices of global development.
I was so much suspicious about Chinese traditions, political systems, personal liberty, economic growth and education system due to misperceptions delivered by westerners. When I was studying at EMI, I felt that all misperceptions provided by westerners were rumors and fallacies. During stay in China, I felt that the economic growth of the great country is driving the country towards the superpower. Many escapes from China such as technology, finance, trade and people strongly help the world more globalized. My country is also a part of Belt and Road Initiative and the mega projects is creating many opportunities in my country. The management of global affairs without China is impossible. So, in every subject the ideas and knowledge produced by China is important. I think the westerners' knowledge has gap as they explain unilaterally as their supremacy over global affairs. To eliminate knowledge gap, one should be studied in China. I think I am a fortunate person to know china and Chinese. For this opportunity, I am really thankful to EMI and Chinese Government.
